On Thursday, October 22nd, The American Refugee Committee, celebrating its 30th year, entertained over 200 supporters that joined ARC for their annual fundraising gala at the Dakota Jazz Club.
ARC works with its partners and constituencies to provide opportunities and expertise to refugees, displaced people and host communities. They help people survive conflict and crisis and rebuild lives of dignity, health, security and self-sufficiency. ARC is committed to the delivery of programs that ensure measurable quality and lasting impact for the people we serve.
Guests shared in sizzling musical performances by stars from around the globe, From Liberia, to the Congo, to Minneapolis. Followed by a wonderful dinner delicately prepared, by one of the best chefs in the Twin Cities, Dakota Head Chef Jack Riebel http://www.dakotacooks.com/the-chef/ .
The live auction, that I was honored to lead, featured once-in-a-lifetime opportunities and items unique to the American Refugee Committee’s global programs.
One lucky supporter won the chance to be a major character in Minnesota’s Award Winning Literary Crime Writer, Erin Hart’s next novel. How cool is that!
A very special Thank You to Susan Fink (Major Gifts Officer) and her lovely event coordinator Jenna, for all of their hard work! What a wonderful evening!
All the best!
Karen
